The Nittany Lion track and field/cross country programs were well recognized for both their academic and athletic achievements, Monday at the annual Student-Athlete Advisory Board (SAAB) Banquet at the Penn Stater. Sophomore Rachel Casciano (Wyomissing, Pa.) garnered one of the highest citations, being recognized with the "True Grit" Award. Elsewhere, the women's cross country squad earned the "Team GPA" award, which is presented to the varsity athletics team with the highest cumulative grade point average.
